Our Staff
Upon entering our office, you will be greeted by our exceptional, friendly staff. With patient satisfaction being our number one priority, we will do our best to bring you the prompt, compassionate service that you expect. Our highly qualified staff members are experienced with many office policies and procedures including all aspects of vision and medical insurance billing; patient pre-examinations and special testing; and patient scheduling and appointment coordinating. As a courtesy, Kootenai Vision Center’s personnel will also assist you with your frame selection and lens options, perform any required adjustments, and advise you on all of your contact lens needs. Kootenai Vision Center’s team members are genuinely interested in your eye health and vision needs and will do their very best to provide you with a customized eye care experience.
Dr. Steven L. Sorensen, OD
Dr. Sorensen was born and raised in the small town of Philipsburg, Montana and graduated from Granite High School along with 28 fellow classmates. Upon graduation in 1975, he took on the challenges of becoming a doctor, one of his life’s true passions. In 1979, he successfully graduated from Carroll College in Helena, Montana with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Furthering his education, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree and his Doctorate of Optometry in 1983 from Southern California College of Optometry. He then returned to his home state, opening a family practice in Eureka in 1984 and then a second practice in Libby in 1990. Dr. Sorensen’s volunteer services include being a member of the Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Board of Directors, a member of the American Optometric Association, and a member and past president of the Montana Optometric Association. Since opening his clinic in 1984, Dr. Sorensen has enjoyed giving back to the communities of Libby, Troy, and Eureka by donating to and promoting various clubs, local charities, nonprofit organizations, and fundraising events. Dr. Sorensen’s special interests include pathology, disease detection, disorders, injuries, and abnormalities of the eyes. |
