Acceptable Vision Plans, Insurances, and Methods of Payment
Because we offer many routine and specialized eye care services, we accept a number of vision and health insurance plans to help cover the cost. Even for those healthcare plans that we are not in-network with, including VSP Vision Care, some services may still be covered, depending on your policy’s terms. Please contact your health insurance plan provider to verify your eligibility for out-of-network benefits and how to submit a claim for reimbursement.
If your plan is not listed below, please call our office for further verification. Because of the many variations in medical and vision plan benefits, it is customary for you to contact your health insurance provider to confirm your coverage and patient benefits as well. As our office will bill both the primary and secondary insurance carriers, please remember to bring your insurance information with you. All co-pays will be collected at the time of service.
- Medicare Health Insurance
- Medicaid Health Insurance
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield Health Insurance
- Sterling Medical Insurance
- Humana Medicare Insurance
- Department of Veterans Affairs Health
You do not need a vision plan or health insurance coverage to be seen at Kootenai Vision Center. In addition to cash, personal check, and CareCredit, we accept most major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, and Discover to make purchasing your eyewear and services easy.
We are no longer contracted with VSP Vision Care as an in-network provider (effective December 1, 2022). If you are a VSP member, we welcome the opportunity to provide all of your eye care needs despite this change and we will do our best to assist you with any questions you may have regarding your out-of-network eligibility or reimbursement concerns.
